Our Mission
American Baptists serve others as "the hands and feet of Jesus." We strive to spread our message by showing love, compassion, and serving others through gifts, service, and companionship.

On the Fourth Sunday of Advent, we light the candle of love and reflect on a love that comes close rather than staying distant. In Luke 1:39–45, Mary and Elizabeth meet in shared vulnerability and joy, recognizing God at work before anything is fully resolved. Echoing the promise of Micah 5:2–5a and the assurance of 1 John 4:7–12, we are reminded that God’s love takes flesh in ordinary lives and faithful relationships, inviting us to make room for love still becoming among us.
